Solid, Liquid, Gas Experiment!

Hi Class!

Here is a short snippet from part of our solid, liquid, gas experiment today:

Think about the solid, liquid, gas experiment we did today in class. What did you observe during the experiment? Was your hypothesis correct? Why or why not? What other questions could we explore using some of the same materials from today's experiment?

Perimeter and Area Game!

Hi Class! Here is a quick math skill reminder:

Perimeter = the distance around the outside of a shape
  • To calculate the perimeter of this rectangle we add:
  • 4 cm + 2 cm + 4 cm + 2 cm = 12 cm
Area = the space inside a shape
  • To calculate the area of this rectangle we multiply:
  • 4 cm x 2 cm = 8 cm squared

Caring for your Health!

Hi Class!

On Tuesday two medical students from the University of Hawai'i visited our classroom to teach you important lessons about your health. We learned about how to carefully analyze the drinks we consume, and about the harmful effects of smoking.

In the comments below, please list two specific facts you heard during the presentation that are important to remember and share with others. Additionally, you may leave a thank you message for our presenters.
