Magic of a Million Update:


Congratulations Students!

As of today, Thursday, September 23, 2010 every student in our class has met their Magic of a Million reading goal for the first quarter!!!!! Our class has read a total of 278 books! The average student has read 11 books since the beginning of the year. Keep up your awesome reading!

As we talked about in class, my sister Miss Julia plays field hockey on her college team the Red Flash. They have had a difficult season so far. They have won two games and lost six games.


Last week we read about the athlete Lou Gehrig. We learned about how he was a valuable part of his team, displayed examples of sportsmanship, showed perseverance, and was modest. Using examples from the story we read, what advice would you give to Miss Julia to help her to keep working hard during her field hockey season? Write your advice in the comments below. Mathematics Quarter One Assessment Results!


Awesome job on the first quarter mathematics assessment! Our class average was 81% !!! This is especially impressive because it was the first time our students have ever taken a computerized exam. A special congratulations to the following students who EXCEEDED proficiency: Tiffany, Taryn, Faith, Lynsie, and Rj. Great job everyone! Keep up the hard work. I am really proud of everyone!
